Welcome to Mahima International Christian School!

A School where the students are given a well-grounded all-round education to enable them to undertake their journey of life in the right direction in the right way.

At Mahima every child is considered a unique individual. We strive to shape each one’s character to envelope their inner strengths and talents to the maximum to bring out the best in them. Each child’s self-esteem and morale are raised to equip them to be future adults who are service minded towards society and their nation

Academics is the epicenter of our education. Subjects are imparted through innovative methods to make them interesting and related to day to day life. A practical approach is adopted to studies involving activities, projects, and experiments. The underlying belief behind these methods being that participation and practical knowledge fosters learning.

We believe that physical fitness and sports is an integral part of education. Our students are guided to play various outdoor games like cricket, football, kho-kho, kabaddi and others to exercise as well as become proficient in the sport. Apart from outdoor sports our children are also taught and encouraged to play indoor sports like chess and other board games which help them exercise their grey cells.

As we live in a competitive world it is of essence that our students are trained to face and handle competition. At Mahima various competitions are held right through the academic year from the tiny tots of the kindergarten to the most grown up in the high school. The competitions include literary ones like essay writing, recitation, speech making as well as quizzes, fancy dresses, singing and others. The aim of competitions is to bring out the talents of our students as well as help them gain in confidence to present themselves and to strive to greater heights. Every single student is made to participate in school competitions to provide equal opportunity to all. Apart from school competitions, our students are encouraged to participate in interschool competitions and those held by other organizations thus providing them with wide exposure.

In a ever widening materialistic world we at Mahima believe it essential to inculcate high moral values and character traits in our children. The motto of our school is “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6. In keeping with this motto character formation is focused on by our teachers right from the little ones to those of the highest classes. The spirit of service and kindness to others is emphasized to every child as they are molded to be future leaders of society. The characteristics of reliability, dependability and integrity are instilled in the children, among others.

We at Mahima subscribe to the principle of equality among all our students. Children of all walks of life are treated with equal opportunities to build up a democratic atmosphere and attitude in our school.

Education is a lifelong process and we are privileged at Mahima to have a dedicated team of teachers who are always open to learning more and imparting what they imbibe to our students. Besides being academic instructors, they also function as second mothers counselling and guiding our students along the right path. The spirit of service takes precedence over salary.

As we have entered our 25th year we thank the Lord for His strength, support and guidance to us right from the inception of the school. May the vision laid down by our founder Mrs. Sookja Kong Bangera grow from strength to strength in the years to come with the blessings of the Almighty.
